By participating in this program, you can qualify to get reduced referral fees, free monthly storage and free removals for all eligible, new-to-FBA parent ASINs for a limited time.
Program Overview
To encourage sellers to offer new products through Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA), the New Selection program offers reduced referral fees, free storage and free removals for a limited time for eligible new-to-FBA parent ASINs.
Program Benefits
Limited to new-to-FBA parent ASINs: Once you have enrolled in the program, you can use the below benefits for an unlimited number of new-to-FBA parent ASINs that you create.
- New-to-FBA reduced referral fee: This benefit is offered to sellers that are the first to bring eligible new-to-FBA parent ASINs to the Amazon Australia store. Eligible sellers can receive referral fees reduced to 5% on sales of eligible parent ASINs that are new-to-FBA and listed as buyable on or after October 28, 2025. Eligibility for the reduced referral fee remains active for 120 days from your new eligible parent ASIN's buyable listing date. The qualified unit pool is capped at 100 units for standard-size items and 50 units for oversize items (except for extra-large items, which are excluded from this benefit) per eligible parent ASIN.
- Free monthly storage and free removals for standard-size parent ASINs: No monthly storage fees for the first 30 units of each new eligible standard-size parent ASIN for 90 days after the first unit is received at a fulfilment centre. You can remove any of those first 30 units within 180 days after the first inventory-received date, with no removal fees.
- Free monthly storage and free removals for oversize parent ASINs: No monthly storage fees for the first 30 units of each new eligible oversize parent ASIN for 90 days after the first unit is received at a fulfilment centre. You can remove any of those first 30 units within 180 days after the first inventory-received date, with no removal fees.
- Additional benefits for apparel and shoes: No monthly storage fees for the first 100 units of each new eligible standard-size apparel and shoe parent ASIN for 120 days after the first unit is received at a fulfilment centre. You can remove any of those first 100 units within 180 days after the first inventory-received date with no removal fees.

1. How do I get benefits of the program?
New Sellers will be automatically enrolled in the Program if their first FBA shipment is received at an Amazon fulfilment centre within 90 days of their first buyable offer. Existing Sellers must enrol in the Program before an ASIN’s first inventory-received date at an Amazon fulfilment centre for the ASIN to qualify for Benefits.
Effective December 1, 2025, an Inventory Performance Index (IPI) score will be used to determine seller eligibility for the program. You must have a minimum score of 300 or higher at any time in the trailing 6 months to qualify for the program. If you do not yet have an IPI score, you can still enrol in the program and receive its benefits provided you meet the eligibility criteria set out in the terms and conditions. To maintain these benefits, you must continue to meet eligibility requirements after enrolment.

2. Am I limited to sending 30 or fewer units to fulfilment centres?
No, you can send in as many units of eligible ASINs as you like. However, only the first 30 units of each eligible ASIN that are received at fulfilment centres will qualify for the fee waiver benefits (or 100 units of apparel and shoe ASINs), and only the first 100 standard-size units and 50 oversize units will qualify for the New-to-FBA referral fee discount.
3. How is New-to-FBA referral fee discount calculated?
The New-to-FBA referral fee discount is applied to reduce the referral fees component of eligible ASIN sales down to 5%. Given the variation in referral fees between product categories, the actual amount discounted under this benefit will vary. For example, if your item costs AUD100 and is in a product category with an 8% referral fee, you would normally pay AUD8 in fees. With the program discount, you only pay AUD5 in referral fees. Each time you make a sale to which the New-to-FBA referral fee discount applies, one unit is deducted from your pool of discount-eligible units.
